ISN is proud to announce the successful completion of a multi-year controls and electrical engineering program at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), delivered between 2016 and 2021.
Over the five-year period, ISN supported the implementation of four new CBIS systems, significantly expanding screening and sortation capabilities across the airport. The program also included upgrades and integrations across multiple ticket counter systems, including participation in one of North America’s early pilot deployments of self-serve bag drop technology.
Throughout the project lifecycle, ISN integrated with third party upper-level control system, coordinating HMI graphics, reporting, and system-level controls across all deployments. ISN also collaborated on multiple TSA-CATSA implementations supporting both transborder and inbound international baggage operations, ensuring compliance and seamless operational flow.
All work was carefully phased and commissioned within an active airport environment, maintaining operational continuity while expanding system capability.
The completed program delivered enhanced screening capacity, improved operational flexibility, and a modernized controls infrastructure that continues to support the evolving demands of YYZ.
