ISN is proud to announce the successful completion and go-live of a comprehensive controls modernization project at Spokane International Airport (GEG).
ISN delivered a turnkey controls solution, providing both lower- and upper-level system integration to support the airport’s outbound CBIS and sortation operations. The upgraded system supports extensive conveying and screening functions, including integration of new and existing infrastructure into a unified control platform.
The project included the re-control of a significant portion of the existing system, along with the integration of legacy motor control panels into the final architecture. The electrical and controls design utilized a modern Ethernet-based network with distributed drives and I/O connected to centralized PLCs for coordinated equipment control, while maintaining communication with portions of the existing backbone where required.
At the upper level, ISN deployed a full PGDS-compliant reporting suite, integrating airport-specific reports into a consolidated operational platform to provide enhanced visibility and performance tracking.
All work was carefully engineered, phased, and commissioned within an active airport environment to ensure uninterrupted operations. The system is now live and delivering improved reliability, reporting, and operational efficiency for Spokane International Airport.
